Dear Audubon Community Nature Center Volunteers,

A HUGE thank you to the incredible volunteers that helped make ACNC's Dragons and Fairies Festival on June 13 a success! 368 guests enjoyed a magical day filled with great food, fun games and crafts, and wonderful vendors.

Garden Work Parties

In order to provide another opportunity for new garden volunteers to join after the traditional workday, Katie Finch is hosting Garden Work Parties on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

All are welcome. RSVP is helpful but not required to Katie at kfinch@auduboncnc.org.

Tools and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gardening gloves and favorite garden tools.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities

Mailing Committee

Monday, August 17: September/October Newsletter with Birdseed Sale Flyer and Board Election Ballot.

Help prepare over 1,000 newsletters for mailing. Folders, tapers, and labelers are needed. There will be snacks and coffee available. Contact Sharon Tefft at stefft@auduboncnc.org to sign up.

*Mailing Committee usually meets on Thursdays for mailings. August mailing is moved to Monday due to a scheduling conflict.

Buildings and Grounds (OWLS):

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings, other times may be available.

OWLS are a vital volunteer group at ACNC and assist with maintaining the trails, grounds, and buildings to ensure Audubon remains a beautiful and welcoming space for all visitors. OWLS also contribute to festivals, events, and exhibits through set up and special projects. All experience is welcome! Contact Terris directly for more information at tmronroe@auduboncnc.org.

As a reminder, please make sure to log your volunteer hours. Every hour counts and we are incredibly proud to brag about your contributions.

Thank you for continuing to share your time and talents with Audubon Community Nature Center. We are so grateful for you!
