Hello Audubon Volunteers!

Happy November! We are so grateful for the many veterans who chose to serve their country and now serve their community by volunteering at Audubon Community Nature Center.

Pictured here are just a handful of our veteran volunteers including (from left to right) Joe O'Hara - Air Force, Jim Fincher - Air Force, John Willsie - Army, Terry LeBaron - Navy, and Paul Swanson - Navy. Thank you to all of those who have chosen to serve, and who continue to serve their communities.

We have some great volunteer events and opportunities coming up this December and January.

To learn more about the volunteer opportunities listed below, please contact ACNC's Volunteer Coordinator, Sharon Tefft, at stefft@auduboncnc.org or by calling the Nature Center at 716-569-2345.

Wreath Decorating

Tuesday, December 3, 9:00 a.m.

Come and get crafty with some of your favorite Audubon staff and volunteers. Decorating will start at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until we finish.

Each volunteer will be given one wreath component to hot glue into place and then pass on to the next person, assembly line style. The goal is to create 75 identical wreaths. Don't worry! Crafting skills are appreciated, but not required. Everyone will work off a sample wreath and will have an example photo to show where to glue their components in.

Save the Date!

Volunteer Potluck Brunch

Thursday, January 23

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Bring your favorite potluck dish to share, as well as your ideas on how Audubon can spread the word about volunteering. Brunch will be followed by a brief discussion around volunteer recruitment and retention, and your participation is appreciated. This is a free event for all current Audubon volunteers, but we do ask you to register ahead of time for planning purposes.

Spaghetti Dinner Volunteers

Friday, January 24

3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Your help is needed to package food for both pick-up and delivery spaghetti dinners! This year we are adding delivery service in addition to our drive-up dinner offering. Audubon staff will deliver meals prepared by dedicated volunteers.

Register here for the January Volunteer Potluck Brunch

Thank you for all that you do to support Audubon Community Nature Center's mission of connecting people to nature. We look look forward to seeing you again very soon!
