Audubon’s trails are full of surprises at the annual Dragons and Fairies Festival! Look for hidden magical creatures, ride in a horse-drawn carriage, create a magic wand, experience live music, great food, and so much more.
The Dragons and Fairies Festival transforms the grounds of Audubon into a delightful mix of all things magical. Expect a day of magical crafts, activities, and adventures. Adults and children alike are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes.
Visitors can try their hand at kid-safe archery, make a wizard staff, listen to a storyteller, make a wish on the wishing tree, hunt for garden gnomes, and more fun activities. Live music will take place in the back yard for your enjoyment.
Schedule:
- 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Vendors, crafts, food trucks, scavenger hunts, Nature Center building exhibits, ogre dice rolling game, mushroom ring toss, obstacle course, kids archery, and fairy garden photo booth
- 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Face painting
- 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Live music by Water Horse
- 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.: Storytime with the Fairy Queen
- 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.: Three Heron’s Nest presents Aksot and Friends’ Puppet Show
- 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Horse-drawn carriage rides (reservations recommended)
- 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Drum circle
Special Information: Some activities and items have a separate cost from the admission price. Please bring cash to make transactions easier. Parking is free.
