Becoming a Practicing Herbalist

Join Jennifer Schlick and her journey on becoming a practicing herbalist. With a concentration on plants she can grow, forage, or source locally, Jennifer is exploring the healing power of plants. She will share some of her experiences and experiments working with herbs both medicinally and culinarily.

Jennifer retired from ACNC in 2020 after 22 years as a naturalist, program director, grant writer, and "other jobs as assigned." She now lives in Lakewood, New York, where she is slowly turning her lawn into gardens. In addition to learning about herbalism, she enjoys playing with her grandson, volunteering with the Girl Scouts of Western New York, hiking, and exploring nature.

Special Information: If you’d like to bring a packed lunch, you can visit attendees and the speaker after the program.

Cancellation Policy
  • If ACNC cancels the program, participants receive full refunds.
  • If a participant cancels before the deadline, a refund, less an $8 processing fee, will be made. If the registration is less than $8, the processing fee will be 25% of the cost of the registration.
  • If a participant cancels after the deadline, no refund will be made, but please still notify Audubon of your cancellation. No refunds after 30 days from purchase.
