Volunteer Day at Audubon (All)

Celebrate Earth Day at Audubon Community Nature Center by joining the staff and other volunteers as they work on projects to maintain and improve the Nature Center building and grounds.

On Saturday morning, you can select a specific work project. Work projects might include sprucing up the gardens, working on the outdoor turtle habitats, trail and play area improvements, pulling non-native plants, and more. This is a family-friendly event with something for all ages and abilities. To register ahead of time, call the Nature Center at (716) 569-2345, or go online. Even though the program is free, please click through check-out to complete your registration. Walk-ins the morning of the event are welcome.

Registration takes place from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Work parties tackle their jobs between 9:00 a.m. and noon. After all the hard work, you can stick around and celebrate the accomplishments with lunch. This event happens rain or shine, so dress for the weather and bring work gloves if you have them.

Schedule:

8:30 – 9:00 a.m.: Check-in and registration
9:00 a.m.: Select work projects.
9:30 a.m. – noon: Work Projects
Noon – 1:00 p.m.: Lunch (COVID-19 style with lots of social distancing)

Special Information: This event takes place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and bring work gloves if you have them. Lunch is served at noon.
