Audubon has turned the multipurpose room into a garden of flowers and free-flying butterflies. Learn about the plight of the Monarch Butterflies and how you can help as you enjoy an up-close look at free-flying butterflies. Register to attend this family favorite event and when you arrive, be sure to sign up for your time slot in the butterfly room upon arrival. In order to promote COVID-19 safe practices, the butterfly room will be limited to 30 guests at a time.

This Monarch event features the hows and whys of Monarch Conservation. There will be tables featuring the life cycle of the caterpillar, including some that can be held. There will be a station where Monarch’s are tagged to record their migration to Mexico. There will be nature walks, butterfly programs, butterfly garden plants for sale, a food truck, and more.

Monarch’s will be released at 6:00 p.m.

COVID-19 Information: ACNC requires that face coverings are worn by all individuals both indoors and outdoors despite their vaccination status for programs that include 50 or more people. Please plan accordingly.
