Bird watching is activity you can enjoy almost anywhere. Over the past year, many people have discovered joy in watching birds come to their feeders and observing the behaviors and colors change with the seasons. Suet cakes are a great alternative to traditional bird seed. It is a high-calorie option for birds, compact, and usually lasts longer than putting out birdseed.

In this virtual program, you can join Audubon and others in the community to make your own suet cakes right at home and learn which birds you might see at your suet feeder. You will be provided with a list of simple ingredients to have available during the virtual program. A Zoom link will be included in your receipt. 

This program is part of a Virtual Cabin Fever series. These programs are designed to share an appreciation of the natural world, inspire you to get outside or teach a skill to use in your outside adventures.

Special Information: Join prepared with the ingredients and materials in your confirmation email. Audubon has molds and chick starter available. Call ahead to arrange pick up if needed.

COVID-19 Information: Face coverings are required for all participants ages 3 and up for indoor programs; they are also required for outdoor programs during which participants cannot maintain 6 feet of distance between family groups. Please have a face covering available should situations change. If you are feeling ill, have any symptoms of COVID-19, or have come into contact with a probable or confirmed COVID-19 case, please stay home. If you have traveled to/from a non-contiguous state or to/from a CDC Level 2 or 3 Travel Notice Country please complete the required quarantine before attending programs. Please be aware that if Audubon discovers that a program instructor or participant tests positive or is considered presumptive positive for COVID-19, they may use registration information to assist with contact tracing.
