Create a little touch a green by making a terrarium. This mini garden can brighten up your indoor space — and your spirits — this spring.

Terrariums are simple to make but the possibilities of layout and decoration are endless. Stop by the Nature Center to make a homemade terrarium you can take home. Directions, examples, and basic terrarium building materials, including containers, soil, and plants are provided. You are encouraged to bring additional decorations or supplies to aid in making your creation. This is an open house style event so stop by between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

This project is part of the Make-and-Take series at Audubon. In each program participants create a project to take home, often using natural or recycled materials, with the goal of helping build and nurture a connection to nature. These self-guided projects are designed to provide enough guidance to get participants started but also enough space to allow creativity to flourish. All ages are welcome to join in this community of creators, though small children may need assistance.

Special Information: This is a self-guided activity. Basic materials and directions are provided for you but you are welcome to bring additional materials.
