Investigate the wonderful world of winter animals and learn how they survive the winter.

While many animals migrate to a warmer climate for the winter, some choose to stay. Many animals, including mammals, birds and insects have specialized ways to survive the winter season. Explore mammal furs, tracks, and skulls, count winter birds, and play games to learn about these amazing animal adaptations. Do experiments, create crafts, and go on a hike to discover evidence of the animals found in our region in the winter. This is an open house format so you can stop in anytime though out the afternoon.

Special Information: This event will be inside and outside. Dress for the weather.

Cancellation Policy
  • If ACNC cancels the program, participants receive full refunds.
  • If a participant cancels before the deadline, a refund, less $5 processing fee, will be made.
  • If a participant cancels after the deadline, no refund will be made, but please still notify Audubon of your cancellation.
