Celebrating Audubon’s oldest tradition, bring the family for a potluck dinner, presentation, and fun outdoor activities.*

Back in March of 2017, Peter Tucker presented at the First Friday Lunch Bunch his plan to investigate how constructed habitats can help wildlife. He was at the beginning of a sabbatical during which he planned to research which animals could most benefit, and then design projects that would use local materials to construct artful nest boxes and other structures.

Peter will be the speaker at this event and will give an update on the results of his project.

Peter Tucker is an Associate Professor of Art at Fredonia State University of New York. He works within the field of Social Practice, a form of contemporary art that involves community collaboration.

*Something New! This year, we encourage families with children to become a part of this, ACNC’s longest-running tradition. The November Nature Play Day will run simultaneously. Parents and other caregivers are encouraged to bring the kids and drop them off at the Nature Play Area (or stay with them).

Special Information: Audubon will provide the turkeys. Guests are asked to bring a dish to pass, as well as their own table service. The meal’s appetizer is a variation on “Stone Soup.” Bring a small jar of broth-based soup to add to the outdoor cookpot. The flavor of this concoction changes with each addition. Dress for the weather. The meal is served inside, but you will want to enjoy outdoor activities.
