Leaves come in so many shapes and sizes, and this is especially true in the fall, making it the perfect time to collect and study them. You might investigate holes made by insects, compare shapes and sizes, and notice which leaves turn colors and which don’t.
Join Audubon to learn more about leaves, their different colors, and why those fall leaves on the ground are so important to insects and other critters. After a short indoor lesson, head outside to see how many different leaves are falling around Audubon and collect some to make a craft.
A snack is provided after the hike and a craft is offered if there is time.
Special Information: This program takes place rain or shine, please dress for the weather.
Humans and animals have different ways of using leaves. Jump in and make your own discoveries about fall leaves at Audubon’s Little Explorers on October 10.
