A vertebrate is any animal with a backbone, and there are vertebrates of all shapes and sizes found around Audubon. Explore real animal bones to learn which parts of a skull and what other bones can help you discover more about an animal’s life and diet.
Bones can tell you a lot about an animal, such as its size, what it eats, and even how good some of their senses are. See what clues you can gather and try to put them together to figure out the animals these bones came from. After an indoor lesson, head outside to see what you can discover about animals just from the bones you find. A snack is provided after the hike and a craft is offered if there is time.
This program is sponsored by Univera Healthcare.
