Audubon is bringing back the Run for Liberty 5k this year in honor of Bald Eagle Liberty’s 20th anniversary at Audubon. The Run for Liberty was Audubon’s first 5k and the money raised went to support her care and upkeep. This year, we will be welcoming some new birds of prey to join Liberty as animal ambassadors to teach visitors about their lives.

The Run for Liberty will follow the same route as the Wild 5k. It will travel through forests and fields, past ponds, and over boardwalks as the race winds through the trail system. This trail race never touches a road, though one quarter mile of the trail is paved. It is a 5k run or walk.

Join Audubon in celebrating 20 years of Liberty at the Nature Center. 

Run for Liberty 5K is sponsored by Jamestown Container Companies, Lakewood Apothecary and Shults Auto Group.

Special Information: This race covers uneven ground and bridges. Most of the race is on bare ground, with one small section along pavement. The trail will be well marked with white signs showing the way.
