Plant Exchange (All)

Saturday, May 21, 2022
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Stop by this year’s plant exchange to pick out some new plants for your garden! You can trade in some of your own plants in exchange for new plants, or purchase plants outright. There will be a large selection of native plants, as well as annuals, perennial plants, trees, and shrubs.

Locally operated and owned businesses Royal Fern Nursery and Hickory Hurst Farms will be onsite with a selection of native plants for sale. Clearwater Compost will also be onsite selling bags of compost to help your new plants get off to a great start. Purchase beautiful garden art from the "glass gardener" Leslie Hallock. There will also be a small rummage sale of gently used garden items.

Audubon plants are sold for $2.50 per 4” pot, $5.00 per 6 – 8” pot and $10 per 10” pot. Bring in your own potted plants to exchange for new plants.

There will be a tent set up to bring your plants in to trade for tickets. Each ticket is worth a dollar towards plant purchases. Audubon reserves the right to reject invasive species, un-potted plants, plants in poor condition, plants in multi-species pots or plants that seem to be infested with weeds. Plants will not be accepted for exchange after 12:00 p.m.

Many local nurseries and garden stores donate to this event in order to provide a wide selection. These plants will be available for cash only, and will not be available to purchase as an exchange. Cash and checks are preferred for a smooth and easy check out, but credit cards will be accepted at the ACNC Reception Desk.

Volunteer Master Gardeners will be on hand to give advice at the advice table. ACNC staff and volunteers are excited to introduce a new and smoother check out system to eliminate waiting in check-out lines

Special Information: Plants are available on a first come, first serve basis.
