2020 marks the fiftieth anniversary of Earth Day! What better way to celebrate than by sipping wine at Ekey’s Garden Center while perusing their incredible selection of plants for your home and garden?
Join Audubon staff members for this Audubon Exclusive FUNdraising event set to include wine tasting and snacks plus a sneak peek at a nearby wild Bald Eagle’s nest, with ACNC Nature Educator, Jeff Tome. Arrowhead Wine Cellars has been producing internationally recognized award-winning wines, with 30 varieties to choose from. Arrowhead uses the highest quality European, native, and hybrid grapes, most of which are grown on their 250-acre farm in North East, Pennsylvania. Arrowhead at Ekey's offers free tastings of all 30 varieties. You may also purchase wine by the glass or by the bottle.
Be sure to bring cash to participate in FUNdraising raffles that will raise money to support Audubon’s gardens and native arboretum which includes over 60 trees native to the Western New York and Western Pennsylvania region.
Take a chance at winning a framed version of ACNC’s new artistic print created by Rochester New York artist, Laura Wilder. 20% of all wine and garden center sales will be donated back to Audubon Community Nature Center by Ekey’s on this night only, so come ready with your garden lists in hand!
