Volunteer Day (All)
Saturday, April 22, 2017, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
$Free

Reservations preferred by Thursday, April 20.

Celebrate Earth Day by giving back.

Staff and volunteers will be working hard to make the Nature Center buildings and grounds more beautiful and friendly for visitors and the wildlife residents. The work happens rain or shine and all usually have a blast regardless. After all the hard work, lunch is provided to all volunteers.

Here’s how it works. Sign up ahead of time so we can better plan for the day. On Saturday morning, you choose a crew to work with on a specific project. Projects include pulling non-native plants, planting native seeds and shrubs, sprucing up the gardens, picking up trash as part of our Roadside Cleanup, and more. You’ll be dirty and tired at the end of it all, but oh-so-satisfied with the work accomplished. Then stay and enjoy lunch with your fellow workers.

Schedule:
8:30 - 9:00 .am. - Registration
9:00 a.m. - Select a work crew and learn about the importance of what you are doing.
9:30 a.m. - noon - Work, work, work (and have fun!)
Noon - 1:00 p.m. - Lunch and prizes
