Walk into a room filled with live butterflies and flowers as part of Audubon’s effort to raise and release dozens of Monarchs each year. Explore all the parts of the life cycle, do crafts, go on hikes, and use a net to catch your own butterflies outside.
Audubon releases the butterflies at 4:00 p.m. near the garden. You can also visit the native plant sale, buy butterfly temporary tattoos, enter the basket raffle, purchase food provided by the 3 C’s catering truck, and take a nature hike.
Monarch Butterfly fun patches are available to purchase in the Blue Heron Gift Shop for an additional $3. They are great for scouts and others looking for an additional activity at the event. They also make great souvenirs for this event.
